PRELOADED MEDIA PLAYERS

The Alison’s Voice program is a series of short films that are preloaded onto iPods that Alison’s Voice donates to crisis centers across the United States. The films include legal guidance from leading attorneys in the field, commentary from psychologists and medical doctors, with inspirational music videos and shared stories from actual victims. Woven together in a personal and inspirational manner, the films serve as a confidential, one-stop resource for victims to strengthen and educate themselves on what steps to take as they begin their journey towards closure.

LEGAL GUIDANCE

More specifically, the films provide practical legal guidance on how to deal with law enforcement personnel and the courts, as well as include the names and contact information of attorneys who provide pro bono assistance to sexual assault victims. Doctors provide information on signs of disease, pregnancy, PTSD and other warning signs of further attention needed and where to get it.

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT

Psychologists will provide useful and practical self-help ideas for dealing with depression, anxiety, guilt, and other PTSD possibilities, again with contact information of available support.

INSPIRATION

Entertainers such as actresses and singers provide inspirational support and positive feedback throughout the film series, keeping the tone as uplifting as possible and reiterating the theme that the victim is not alone in their journey.

The content is practical, private and professional.

DISTRIBUTION

Alison’s Voice will launch by serving the Rape Crisis Centers of several U.S. cities, including Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, and Fort Lauderdale. The first wave of support from Alison’s Voice will be the donation of 1,000 preloaded iPods to these centers as an available resource for victims. The staff of these centers that have the initial contact with victims will introduce the product to them and discuss the contents and uses.

GROWTH

Alison’s Voice plans on continuing to expand regionally on a market-by-market basis, throughout the United States, eventually operating field offices on a national level. Alison’s Voice will focus on crisis centers as well as schools and universities with the goal of providing the Alison’s Voice program to as many victims as possible.
